Post Transpositions

Good eve and a thank-you to every one who supported us at the transpositions exhibition...
We were lucky enough to have such an amazing space at Royal William yard overlooking the waters of Plymouth.
Thanks to Urban splash it is fast becoming a pretty interesting development.
Formally functioning as a major depot of the Royal Navy its now becoming a beautiful amalgamation of original grade 1 industrial architecture with the commercial.

Halcyon days

Halcyon days

Definition:
A period of peace and happiness; an idyllic time;
also,
a period of calm weather during the winter solstice.

Heres to pushing winter back around that corner and letting imagination run forward to lazy summer days...
Till then,
don't let the darkness eat you up...

Kelly’s: I ♥ thy

by Kelly Smith and Kelly Thompson
by kelly Smith

Just a quickie... I would like to share my two favourite illustrators from the southern hemisphere.
Kelly Smith and Kelly Thompson.
They are both amazingly talented, each possessing a contemporary quirkiness. Its not surprising that these two often collaborate on exhibitions together.
Smith creates beautifully detailed pencil drawings of her latest fashion muses.
Her blog ‘Birdy and me’ is a must view.
Whilst Thompson’s inspirations from the feminine form take on a more graphic appearance.
Major brownie points are scored here, as she manages to sketch all of her work of recycled card.
You can view all of her works here.

Crackerness

Well it’s reached that time of year…
I cannot resist any longer…. So here is a little piece of Christmas crackerness. This cracker card will be available to buy from Zeath Gallery and at Tubestation’s Christmas festival.
The festival will be offering hand-made and fairtrady goods by local artists and crafty people, as well as festive food and treats. (With a percentage going to shelter box)
It will be just the ticket to get you in the spirit!

Hope you can make it...

Pick up STICKS

Sometimes it feels good to shake off limitations-
get lose, pick up sticks, ink and draw....
